Guide: How to Join Android App Beta Testing

If you are looking to complete the Play Store Closed Testing task , please follow this step-by-step guide carefully to ensure your submission gets approved and paid quickly.



📌 Prerequisites Before You Start

  1. Make sure you are logged into your primary Google Account on your Android device's Google Play Store.

  2. Use the same Google Account to perform all the steps below.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Join the Official Google Group (Mandatory)

Without joining the Google Group first, you will get an "App not available" error on the Play Store.

  1. Open this link in your browser:

  2. Click on the "Join group" button.

  3. Confirm with the same Google Account that is linked to your Play Store.



Step 2: Opt-In as a Beta Tester

Once you have joined the Google Group, you need to register as an official tester.

  1. Open the Play Store Opt-in link:

  2. Click the "Become a Tester" button.

  3. You will see a success message: "You are now a tester."

  2. Install the File Viewer app on your device.

  3. Open the app and keep it installed on your device.

⚠️ Important Note: Do not uninstall the app immediately! Keep it installed on your device to help complete the testing requirements.

To get your Microworkers task approved without rejection, submit the following proofs:

  1. Screenshot 1: Screenshot showing you have joined the Google Group (or the "You are now a tester" confirmation page).

  2. Screenshot 2: Screenshot of the installed app icon on your home screen or inside the Google Play Store showing "Installed".

  3. Your Email/Username: The Google account email address you used to join the group.

💡 Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • Error: "App not available" or "Item not found"

    👉 Solution: Ensure you clicked "Join group" in Step 1 using the same email address registered on your phone's Play Store. Refresh the page after joining.

  • Play Store link shows a blank page

    👉 Solution: Open the link directly inside the Google Chrome browser on your Android device.
