Vitamin C is known as an “all rounder” vitamin.  Its beneficial for the proper functioning of all parts of the body including skin and hair. Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is needed for producing collagen which is necessary to maintain elasticity of tissues and skin.  Vitamin C in adequate amount can give you beautiful skin that’s free of blemishes and wrinkles.  Regular use of vitamin C enriched face packs will give you younger-looking and beautiful skin texture because it is also rich in antioxidants which reduces damage caused by free radicals. Curd / yogurt face packs for all skin types

During summer seasons, you will require a different face pack that will turn From the ancient time, homemade curd is used to provide great beauty benefits. Today, you can get curd in the market. You can now get all types of essential minerals through the lactic acid, zinc, calcium etc formed inside the creamy and white substance.

Homemade yogurt face packs

For dry skin

It is important to know the skin type before making a pack and applying it on face. If you have dry skin, you can make a curd pack with a teaspoon of curd as well as few drops of honey. Now add thick pea flour in this solution in order to form a thick paste. Now add some water and mix well so that the mixture gains the desired consistency.  Now apply this mask on your face and neck area. Leave this for a period of 20 minutes and wash it away.

For oily skin

The face pack made for individuals with dry skin will not suite with someone having oily skin.  Here you have to take a teaspoon of powdered multani mitti and add some curd. But it is essential to add hung curd in this mask.  Now mix it with dried neem powder and apply on your face.

For sensitive skin

You need to take a ripe banana and mash it so that not a single lump remains. Now add some curd in it and pour some water so that the paste becomes smooth. Apply it on your face and keep it dries. Now wash this pack away with cold water to get healthy and beautiful skin with home treatment.

Olive oil and curd for wrinkles

The pack is very beneficial for removing the tough wrinkles from your face. In order to make this mask you require a tablespoon of olive oil and fresh curd of 2 tablespoon. Mix them well and apply on your skin. You must let it stay for 30 minutes and then wash it.

Chamomile and yogurt

Chamomile is a natural herb that is used in many cosmetics these days. It gives you a soothing touch on your skin. This pack will help removing the sunburn marks from your skin easily. You take to take 2 tablespoon of curd and pour 2-3 drops of chamomile in it. Mix both the ingredients really well and apply on your face where you have problem of sunburns. You can remove it after 15 minutes.

Oatmeal and yogurt

The oatmeal present at your home must be grounded to make powder. Now add a teaspoon of gram flour in a container. You must add 2 tablespoon of curd in the same container. Mix 3 ingredients very well with a spoon and apply it over your skin that has variety of problems. You can easily remove it with cold water once 15 minutes is over. This provides great treatment for redness during summer.

  Papaya and Turmeric Face Pack:

Papaya
Papaya contains essential vitamins and antioxidants.  The enzymes in papaya work well to lighten skin and to make the skin glow. Papaya is rich in Vitamin A and C and along with turmeric (kasturi manjal/ambi haldi), it works to remove tan and lighten skin tone. You can see results instantly and with regular use, tan clears off completely.  The third ingredient which is honey, has skin moisturizing and healing properties.
Ingredients Needed:
  • 4 cubes of ripe papaya (remove the skin).,
  • 1 tablespoon of ambi haldi or kasturi manjal.
  • 1 tablespoon of honey.
Method:
Take the ripe papaya cubes and mash them well. Mix 1 tablespoon of ambi haldi into the mashed papaya. Finally, add 1 tablespoon of honey to the mixture. Apply as a thick paste on to the face, keep for 20 minutes and wash off to reveal glowing skin.



Orange and Fuller’s Earth Face Pack:

Oranges
Orange is full of vitamin C and antioxidants and this pack with Fuller’s Earth is extremely good for oily skin.  This pack brightens dull skin and brings glow to the skin.
  • A few pieces of orange.
  • 1 tablespoon Fuller’s Earth.
Method:
Mix the orange pieces and Fuller’s Earth together and apply on face until the pack dries off completely.  Rinse off to radiant skin.

 

Tomato and Cucumber Face Pack:

Tomatoes
I consider tomato as a fruit, so including it in this list.  It has rich vitamin C content and combined with cucumber, it clears off tan, brightens skin, and acts as a skin whitening face pack.
Ingredients Needed:
  • 2 slices of tomato.
  • 1 slice of cucumber.
  • A pinch of turmeric.
  • 1 tablespoon of honey.
  • Besan as needed.
Method:
Grate cucumber and mix it into tomato pulp.  Mix in a pinch of turmeric along with honey and besan.  Apply this pack on the face and rinse off after 20 minutes.

Kiwi and Yogurt Face Pack:

Kiwi Fruit
Kiwi contains high amounts of vitamin C, E, and K which enhances collagen formation, replenishes skin, and has antioxidants.  The black seeds of the kiwi fruit contain fatty acids called omega 3 which benefits the skin.  Kiwi brightens up dull skin and has anti-ageing benefits.  Yogurt is rich in Vitamin B1 and B2.  It also contains vitamin A and E.
Ingredients Needed:
  • 2 ripe Kiwi fruit.
  • 1 tablespoon yogurt.
Method:
Mash the Kiwi fruit and mix in yogurt.  Apply to face and neck and rinse off after 30 minutes.  Do this weekly for bright skin and smooth texture.









 Strawberry and Milk Face Pack:

This face pack was done as a DIY by Desi Mom and can be used as a scrub too.  After keeping it on the face for 20 minutes and while removing, rub it in a circular motion, that’s the face pack-cum-scrub for you.
Ingredients:
  • 2 ripe strawberries.
  • 1 tablespoon milk.
  • 1 tablespoon oatmeal powder (rice powder can be used).
Method:Mash the strawberries with a spoon, mix in the milk and oats and make it into a smooth paste.  Apply on to the face and neck.  Keep it on for 20 minutes and rinse off in circular motion.
